I am extremely proud of our chapter and the participation that is exhibited to increase membership, educate the members, find new and exciting events to keep the chapter in this century. I truly look forward to meeting night to see everyone in person.
My industry history started here in WPB in 1981 as a plumber for 31/2 years, 20 plus years working in the wholesale business in south Florida, my wife Kelly and I then made the jump to Chicago.
I was in Chicago for 20 years;10 years with Moen, 4 years with Symmons, and 6 years with Viega. While in the Chicago market my responsibility was to call on Engineering firms, Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors, Higher EDU, School Districts, Healthcare, and Entertainment Facilities.
While I was in Chicago, I got involved with ASPE, 9 years I was honored to sit on Board of Directors as the Chicago Chapter Administrative Secretary and participate in the monthly meetings and ASPE National Conventions.
After moving back to WPB join the S FL Chapter at the VP of Membership and to help grow the South Florida Chapter. Dec 2022 I was requested by the BOD to become the new chapter president and we have not looked back, continuously growing members and affiliates. A gigantic thank you to that board and the new future board to keep us running at full speed.

For over 25 years Elvira has worked in many different areas of the Plumbing industry. She started her career as a Plumbing Engineer and Plumbing Director for some of the most prestigious firms in South Florida. From there, she accepted a position as a Mechanical/Plumbing design manager and project manager at a Construction Company that was building a one of a kind tunnel in Miami. Most recently, Mrs. Pita Mejia is a territory manager for a leading manufacturer's rep agency in the State of Florida.

I have been involved in the Residential and Commercial Plumbing Industry for over 20 years. My career began in Northern Indiana with residential plumbing and heating systems and evolved into working with one of the leading wholesale distribution businesses in South Florida, and now as Sales Manager for a leading Manufacturers Representative.
My role today is focused on new construction strategies including networking with area Engineers, Architects, Wholesalers, and Contractors. Throughout my career I have had the opportunity to watch, listen and learn from the people that I have encountered. The time spent with these individuals has been unbelievably valuable and has given me the chance to share these experiences with others.
As the VP of Membership, I am looking to communicate with Engineers, Contractors, Wholesalers, and other Manufacturer’s Representatives about the value of being a member of ASPE. My goal is to bring ASPE to the attention of industry partners in South Florida. It is through their support that the success of our chapter is vital.

I was born in Bangor, Maine, and moved to Orlando, FL in 1972. After graduating from Oakridge High School, I continued my education at Florida State University and later finished my degree at ITT Technical Institute in Ft. Lauderdale and was awarded Alpha Beta Kappa for highest honors and inducted into the National Technical Honor Society. I currently reside in Coral Springs with my wife and daughter.
While I started my career, many years before, working in the construction industry, I realized I had a great passion for design and engineering. Once completing my degree, I began working at KAMM Consulting, and I am now a leader in my department. I have multifaceted skills in AutoCAD, Revit design, and Architectural drafting. Lastly, I am very excited to be part of the ASPE South Florida Chapter and hope to build professional relationships with everyone involved.

Alfredo “Freddy” Hernandez, Outside Sales in Southeast Florida for Marsh & Moore, Inc. began his career in the plumbing industry in 2014. I began my career working for a prominent wholesaler, and then went to the manufacturer’s rep side of the business in 2019. I truly enjoy sales and being challenged to help my customers grow their business. I have learned so much from this incredible industry and really look forward to serving in my new position as the Administrative Secretary for the South Florida ASPE Chapter. A local to Miami, I enjoy vacations with my family and spending weekends on the beach.

Born and raised in South Florida, I graduated from the University of Florida in 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. My interest in the MEP industry began during college through a hands-on internship, where I gained valuable experience in engineering and design. Over the past two years, I’ve worked as a Plumbing Engineer, deepening my expertise in system design and construction. Currently based in Pembroke Pines, FL, I’m enthusiastic about being part of the ASPE chapter and look forward to building meaningful connections with fellow professionals in the field.

Hello, my name is Emilio Sorondo and I am on the Mechanical Sales Team in Southeast Florida for Harry Warren. Reach out to me for your needs for water heating, mixing of hot water, gas detection, hot water circulation and expansion of hot water. I’ve been in Plumbing since 1982. I worked as a plumbing wholesaler for 23 years and currently with Harry Warren for now 18 years. 42 years and counting. I’ve been an official ASPE member now going on my third year and decided to help the board with my expertise and computers and editing newsletters. Even though it’s a small role, I look forward to continuing to help the Board of Directors in whichever way possible.
I currently live in Miami Florida. I have three children, four grandchildren five siblings and mom and dad are still with us.
